The new DocuMaster Pro from Morgana is the fourth generation of this highly successful, multi-functional digital finishing system. It uses new touch screen technology to control all system functions, thus simplifying operation and speeding set-up. It also incorporates a new PosiDrive feeding system developed by Morgana.
The JDF ready DocuMaster Pro is designed for digital printers who want to make booklets from pre-collated sets in one highly automated operation that includes feeding, creasing and quality bookletmaking. It will crease 5000 sheets per hour and make 1500 books/h. Using an optional ‘square back’ system it will also produce booklets with a perfect bound appearance. Another option available with the DocuMaster Pro is a variable data camera system which is set to read a fixed point on any page of a document and then automatically instructs the system to make a book of the required number of pages.
When its full bookletmaking capability is not required, the DocuMaster Pro can be used as a simple creaser to produce 4pp documents on heavy card stock or as a perforator. It will crease a sheet size of 630mm x 330mm and make books up to 460mm x 320mm and takes stock up to 4mm (approx. 400 gsm) including laminated material.
